Sports Programme Motion Graphics Analysis
This is an motion graphic used for the sports programme called "The Premiership"as shown on ITV 1, it doesn't reveal this until the end of the motion graphic, although it does symbolise by displaying the emblems of the different teams.
when the emblems are shown they progressively transform into another team emblem, mainly based on their nickname or icon and the background changes to that teams stadium. The motion graphic is set to a 16:9 aspect ratio (720p) and has a lot of resolution. It uses a blurred effect on the background and on the emblems, there is plenty of colour rendering that has been added so there is more light reflection as to when the emblems rotate.
This is the Formula 1 intro from 2007 on ITV. This motion graphic includes quite abit of real footage of people which centres the programme introduction but it is mainly the background that caught my eye on this.
It starts off with a woman waving the flag as its the start of the race, which is iconic as its the start of the programme, then as the F1 car sets of we get a preview of the different F1 drivers and moments in F1 then at the end the F1 car creates a blue flamish effect which creates the F1 emblem. This motion graphic is only set in 240p but shown on television i wouldn't of thought it had reached HD yet as its quite old. It uses alot of colour rendering and fade out and other visual effects.
This is the introduction to 2011's ICC cricket world cup, this motion graphic uses a variety of different colours, it starts of with a spinning globe with the cricket countries around it representing which teams are taking part in the world cup and it follows on to a man throwing a ball which is like the start of the game when the ball is thrown, then the ball is followed, it uses a lot of colour rending and gradient glows, but other than that there isn't too many effects to it, there is a lot of object rotation in this, as this video is on youtube and can only reach 480p it isn't at its maximum quality, this would quite obviously be seen on TV.
The first 0:25 seconds is the opening sequence for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) the majority of the motion graphic is real footage showing the from the moment wrestling began all the way to the modern day, although the backgrounds are a mixture of colours which are bright and there is a use of colour render in this, it spins round as the title is mean't to be bringing you excitement to what you are watching, its all really fast paced and at the end where it reveals the text, it comes on with a big splash of light flares and the text uses a red glow effect. This title sequence is full HD.
